Hi Jack,
Not sure what you mean by "M3 button". Do you mean a custom User button with a text label of M3?
Do you have the M3 code under Tool Setup | M1-M9 set to the same configuration as the User button?

Hi Tom, Yes I have an M3 User button the is programmed on the User Buttons page – I/O Bit, Set bit 44 to 0. The M5 User Button is programmed I/O Bit, Set bit 44 to 1. All that works fine. I did have to reverse the bit state on both switching from Kflop JP7 to Kstep J33. However, the router does not turn on when an M3 command is executed in the Gcode by KmotionCNC. Hi Tom, Finished wiring my router on/off today. The M3 button turns the router on and M5 turns it off. However, M3 or M5 in a Gcode program do nothing. This worked perfectly before adding the Kstep. Suggestions?

Hi Jack,
There are two separate configurations.
One for MCodes shown here:
And one for User Buttons shown here:
I think you are confusing them. Make sure you have the MCode configuration set
properly.
You shouldn't actually need a User Button for M3 anymore because Spindle On CW, On CCW, and Off have been added to the KMotionCNC Screen.
HTH Regards TK

I’m sorry Tom, I have the bit states backwards. M3 – I/O Bit, Set bit 44 to 1 and M5 – I/O Bit, set bit 44 to 0. I working from another computer right now that has the previous KmotionCNC setup loaded. Jack From: Jack Gizienski [mailto:jackgiz@...] Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2014 9:30 PM To:

Tom, That’s it. I forgot about the MCodes page. Thanks.
